Beijing City International School was honored to be invited to exhibit as a representative of Chaoyang Education at the 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Service (CIFTIS) from 2-6 September at the National Convention Center, Shougang Park. In the education sector of this year's trade fair, BCIS and its sister school, YueCheng Courtyard Kindergarten, both under the YueCheng Education Group, were invited to showcase and share YueCheng's innovative educational models and approaches to attendees from China and around the world.

One of nine major themes at the Trade in Services Fair, the Education Services theme, "Leading the Future with High-Quality Education:Opening New Development Avenues, Shaping New Growth Drivers" aims to showcase educational achievements and provide a platform for discussion, exchange, and collaboration. This event, one of the most significant in both China and the global service industry, brought together top companies and leading organizations from around the world. It attracted over 90 domestic and international institutions, including higher education institutions, international organizations, Sino-foreign cooperative educational institutions, international schools, and education technology companies. In response to an invitation from the Chaoyang District Education Commission, on the opening day, leaders from the Education Committee visited YueCheng's booth, where they learned about YueCheng's educational features. YueCheng's innovative community learning experience, blending Chinese culture and a cosmopolitan environment, captured the attention and recognition of peers and conference attendees alike.

Since its establishment in 2005, the BCIS community has remained committed to providing the model for cosmopolitan education, a model that is inclusive and open to all. High-quality learning and teaching has always been at the core of BCIS mission and values, aligning perfectly with the theme of this year's Trade in Services Fair education section. During the event, BCIS presented its core strategic plan, with "Personalization" as the core of the learning experience and "Leadership" and "Collaboration" as strategic focuses to support the school's vision and mission. Head of School Tom emphasized that, with the pandemic challenges behind us, this is the ideal opportunity to recommit and focus on the school’s mission of delivering high-quality learning and teaching. All members of the BCIS community will work together toward this goal, with a core focus on challenging, empowering, inspiring, and demonstrating compassion for students. BCIS looks forward to realizing this goal of high-quality learning and teaching, demonstrating tangible accomplishments throughout the academic year in collaboration with all community members.

Very few international schools have a clear strategic direction, but BCIS's strategic planning and community practices serve as a reference for the development of international education in China and help parents clarify their expectations for international education. Participating in this Trade in Services Fair is an important step for BCIS in promoting the development of high-quality education and fostering innovative exchanges, offering attendees the opportunity to gain insights into today's internationalized education landscape.
