"My daughter had a great first day. She couldn’t stop talking about school when she got home. She informed us that she really likes her new teacher and classmates. Please pass on my sincere thanks to all the staff we met and who helped us at BCIS. It has been a long and difficult road to get here but the school and the staff reassure us that it has been worthwhile. The quality and passion of the staff is inspiring. I think I am as excited about the next couple of years at BCIS as she is."

"My daughter's homeroom teacher has done an excellent job. As you have written in ‘BCIS in Focus’, BCIS provides a truly rigorous personalized education. Her teacher knows it well and takes account of this as she plans her lessons. The teacher has high expectations for her students (here I mean my daughter). She differentiates the learning programme for the different talents, needs, and stages of development of individual students. Her programme suits my daughter very well, so I have seen my daughter making enormous growth in many areas since she is in grade five. I believe my daughter will achieve to the very best of her ability. I really appreciate what her teacher has done. I'm looking forward to my daughter’s further growth."

"As we reveled in the festivities of the 5th anniversary of BCIS, it took me back to a day in late August, 2005. Only 24 hours before 'School Opening Ceremony' and we, a group of teachers, were watching with concern the construction workers busy inside the still unfinished school building. Every one of us was thinking the same thing: Will the school be ready in time?
The school was more than ready and that was not the only time that BCIS lived up to its promises. Over the last 5 years I have experienced innumerable times the extent of this school's vision and the depth of its integrity. When BCIS says something would be done, it not only gets done, it gets done in style!!
For me, working here is a treat, despite the hard work and long hours I put in. As a teacher, I couldn't ask for more. As a parent, I know my son, here in Grade 11, has the opportunity to reach his potential. As I explained, back in 2005 in my very first "blurb", why I chose this school, I still stand by my conviction that BCIS is not just a school with brains, it's a school with a heart. A rare combination indeed....and I'm honoured to be a part of it."
- Diba Kader, Grade 2 Homeroom teacher, mother of Grade 11 student
"It has been a great pleasure for myself and my family to have been, and to remain as members of the BCIS community. My opportunity to join as PTA President for this year has only strengthened my involvement with the school, and given me a chance to work even closer with a management, support, and academic team that has done a great job of building our confidence in the school, and its well-respected reputation amongst the competitive Beijing school community.
Most importantly, I know that our daughter has flourished at BCIS, and looks forward to each and every day she has a chance to attend. When your child feels it’s a punishment to NOT be allowed to attend her school for a day, you know that school, and its team, are doing something right. There is a fantastic and diverse group of students here, and they are lucky to take advantage of such great opportunities that BCIS has to offer."

Thank you for all you're doing for the students. I've never seen my son as keen as this. The bit of magic going on has taken me by surprise, especially as I was anticipating the dreaded downward teenage slide. What I'm witnessing is anything but.
