Second SHORTS Festival

20171206 shorts 2-banner-0

The Secondary School Arts Department is excited to announce our second festival of short dramatic plays. The event will be a performance of sixteen short plays, each around ten minutes long, held over three nights from December 7 to 9 in the BCIS Theatre. The plays cover a range of styles, some comic, some abstract, and some realist. Many have been designed and directed by the students themselves. They explore widely different subject matter and themes and express their ideas, desires and passions. Most of the performances are recommended for an audience of young adults. Each play will be performed twice over the three evenings. So, to see all the performances, audiences will need to attend two evenings.

Awards will be given for Best Individual Performance and Best Play Performance. Note the content of the work ranges significantly, but some work touches on subjects and contains language that might not be suitable for younger students. We look forward to seeing you at “Shorts 2!”
