Grade 5 Transition Events

Grade 5 Transition

Parents of students in Grade 5, your child is getting ready to leave Elementary School and move up to Grade 6 and the Secondary School. This is a very big and important transition, and so we are taking steps to ensure that both parents and students can feel as prepared as possible for the change. On Wednesday, May 4 at 15:00 in the SS Library, there will be a special parent meeting for Grade 5 parents to learn more about the changes in your child’s learning as they move up into the Secondary School. On Friday, May 6, students will take part in their “Bridging Day” where they will go and experience a full day as Secondary School students, meeting the teachers and having the chance to explore their new building.

If you are a parent of a student in Grade 5, we strongly recommend you attend the parent meeting on May 4. An invitation will be sent to you with more details. We look forward to seeing you on the day.
