Christmas Apples - Help for the Needy

If you happened to be in Beijing City International School on November 30th, you would be amazed to see our G5 students unpacking thousands of apples and shipping them to different classrooms. This is another charity endeavor that our students have taken to help the needed children in China.


Jason Ying awarded 2nd place at the Young Musician of Future competition

The curtain opened to the strains of Jurassic Park revealing a tableau of elite international school musicians wearing full length tail coats and all sorts of exotic, colourful frocks. Our very own Jason Ying from Grade 8 was dressed in loose cotton trousers, plain shirt and comfortable sneakers.


Great success for BCIS Warriors in the last sports season

The BCIS Warriors have been very busy in the past few months competing in various tournaments. At the recent Middle/High School Assembly we celebrated their great success in the last season. Special recognition went to the following teams and individuals:


BCIS Chess Warriors placed second!

he Chess Warriors participated this past Saturday at the ACAMIS North Chess Championship held at Dulwich College Beijing. Our BCIS team came in second place out of 7 participating schools. Only 5 girls participated in the tournament and we are please that 2 of them were from BCIS! Well done, Chess Warriors!


BCIS Terry Fox Run 2009 - 121,588 RMB raised for cancer research!

Another successful effort was made by the BCIS students and community during their recent Terry Fox Run. Students set a goal of raising 100,000 RMB for Cancer Research and showed great spirit in achieving an end total of 121,588 RMB.
