BCIS In Focus - May 2016

Dear Parents, Colleagues, and Friends of BCIS,

Our Grade 12 students have completed their classes and are now engaged in taking their respective exams. All have received multiple university acceptances and most have now decided where they will be attending next year. We congratulate all of Grade 12 as they prepare for graduation and the next step in life’s journey. We also want to express our appreciation to them for their many significant contributions to BCIS and to various worthy causes here in Beijing, China, and the world.

We also want to express our appreciation to the parents of Grade 12 students for granting us the privilege of being engaged in teaching and learning with their children here at BCIS. It is also fitting herein to express our deep appreciation to all members of the BCIS staff who have served as teachers, advisors, coaches, teaching assistants, support staff and administrators, each one supporting and guiding our Grade Twelves each and every day.

During these last few weeks of school, there are a myriad of activities and events associated with the celebration of another school year, as well as some that have become traditions here at BCIS. We urge you to attend as many of these events and activities as you are able, sharing in the wonderful community spirit and vibrant culture that defines the school. These events and activities are posted on our BCIS website and various social media options, as well as through the more traditional modes of daily listings and posters around the Main Campus and the ECC Campus.

As we approach the end of school year 2015-2016 we are already at work preparing for school year 2016-2017. We look forward with great enthusiasm to greeting both our new and our returning students and staff in July and August.

In closing, I want to express our most sincere appreciation to members of staff who are moving on to their next opportunity, wishing each one the very best. We also extend our very best wishes to those students and their families who will be leaving BCIS at the end of this school year.

We hope that everyone will consider BCIS a warm and welcoming place to return to over the years.  We look forward to your visits to campus and the stories you will share about the challenges and the opportunities that life offers.

Safe journey, everyone!

Sincerely,

Ted Sharp
