Amazing April

From the start of this month, our Early Childhood Center (ECC) students have been busy celebrating just about everything and experiencing all the delights of their big wide world. It's been a month of mastering kung-fu, dress-up, eating up, being theatre guests and dancing to the beat of the African drum.

Antigone

The Beijing City International School (BCIS) community were gifted with a final live theatre production directed by Secondary School (SS) drama teacher, Phil Clarke. The SS students' stand-out performances in Antigone, transporting us into the trials of Ancient Greece, are an absolute testament to Mr Clarke's legacy at BCIS and our students' fine appreciation for the arts.

Spring Concert

Our SS students continued to light up the stage with a dynamic set of musical performances at the Spring Concert. The BCIS orchestra, choir, ensembles, bands and soloists enchanted the audience with musical talent and creativity including Disney mashups, classics, and personal compositions.

Avenir is back!

Delighted to host on campus again, eight teams of students from various international schools in Beijing participated in the two-day Avenir 2021. This student-initiated business competition saw learners network, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and become budding entrepreneurs as they presented their business plans and solutions in response to business problems.

ACAMIS Awardees

At the recent ACAMIS conference, BCIS' Grade 11 students were recognized for their inspiring work and community contributions. Hower, Wallington and Tom won the ACAMIS Jim Koerschen Award for Innovation, while Alice took home the ACAMIS Service Award. Their prizes will help them advance their projects and developments, and further their journeys in the BCIS mission.

Summer Olympics

The last week of April has not skipped a beat. Before embarking on their Week Without Walls (WWW), Elementary School (ES) students filled the corner of Baiziwan and Jiulongshan Road with a colourful rumbling at their Summer Olympics. Co-led by our PE teachers and Grade 5s, our ES students exuded boundless energy and BCIS spirit on the field.
