EMPOWERING BCIS PANELS

The Power of Community
At Beijing City International School (BCIS) we are proud of our inclusive, compassionate community. This semester our Alumni Relations Team have begun hosting a series of insightful interview panels for our Grade 12s, where our alumni have been able to share their experiences as valuable contributors to their community. Amidst the pandemic, lockdown and physical separation, our BCIS community only grew stronger.
Our alumni strengthened connections this year between themselves and our community, supporting each other near and far. The G12 interview panels crossed borders with most of our attendees involved on campus accompanied with virtual appearances by alumni overseas, as seen in the video below. Our Grade 12s really took to the occasions, relishing in the opportunities to engage with our alumni who could give the best answers to their queries – having been in their exact same shoes – questions regarding decisions on majors, locations and cultures, applications and how to strategize entries into highly competitive universities.
Inspired by Community
Our alumni's learning journeys are representative of our BCIS mission, as they return Home to both inspire and empower current students, while they simultaneously receive inspiration and empowerment by our steadfast community once again. As a result of international border restrictions, many of our alumni are still in Beijing waiting to embark on the next big chapter of their learning journeys. In the meantime, our community has found ways to collaborate, contributing to current students' impactful learning through internships and assistant teaching on campus by our enthusiastic and giving alumni.
BCIS' learning journeys begin here and continue beyond school years. Our graduates will always have this Home to return to, to inspire each other and re-inspire themselves. Once a BCISer, always a BCISer. Watch the video montage below of our inspired alumni in their learning journeys.
