We parents at Beijing City International School (BCIS) are very fortunate to have the PTA Committee, which celebrated the festive season on December 3 by holding an amazing Christmas party before the winter holiday. The ambience was so colorful due to the different backgrounds and cultures of the members joining together to make such a memorable event.

At the party, we played various fun and educational games, such as Musical Chairs, Find the Missing Puzzle, and Guess Who. We even held our very own ping pong competition! In addition, there were performances conducted as a token of our gratitude to all our kind class teachers. There were belly dancing parents that performed skills they learned, as well as English and Korean language students that sang songs and recited poetry. One mother even played a song on the Guzheng, a traditional Chinese instrument that is plucked. I must say it was a beautiful way to end the semester!

The PTA Committee and I would like to thank all the parent volunteer teachers, who despite their tight schedules, prepared thorough lessons for all participants for classes, such as English, Chinese, French, Korean, craft, Chinese painting, and cooking. A book club also regularly met. We would also like to thank the school and community, marketing team for their support, and properties team for providing us with classrooms.

The PTA wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you next semester!
