BCIS Winter Bazaar is Coming!
Books often serve as windows, offering glimpses into different lives through their words and imagery, sparking boundless imagination. As winter settles in, we turn the pages of stories that have accompanied us on our journey, where laughter, fresh air, and snapshots of life come alive, revealing the beauty of the season.
In ‘The Mole and the Snowman’, we witness a friendship that bridges the seasons.
‘A Christmas Carol’ takes us on a mysterious spiritual journey through a cold winter's night.
‘Walden’ reflects the rhythm of life by a frozen lake.
While ‘Winter in Jinan’ captures the unique warmth and tranquility of the season.
We are excited to invite the BCIS community to our upcoming Winter Bazaar, themed “A Celebration of Winter Stories and Memories.” Together, we will explore the enchanting winter scenes from our favorite books, bringing the beauty of these stories to life. Let’s immerse ourselves in the warmth they inspire and discover the charm of winter as depicted in literature.
Many of us cherish books that capture the cozy essence of winter—the warmth of family gatherings, the aroma of delicious food, characters sharing their tales in a snowy embrace, and the gentle dance of snowflakes that fill the air with seasonal magic. This event is inspired by such literary moments, and we encourage you to dress as your favorite character from a story. Through this gathering, we hope to rekindle the warmth, joy, and happiness found within the pages of books and remind everyone of winter's beauty.
Winter brings its own special charm, filled with joy and surprises. At this event, you can enjoy delightful performances by our community members from all grade levels, soak in the lively atmosphere, and create lasting memories with your family at our photo booth. With over a dozen food stalls offering delicious treats, there’s sure to be something to warm your heart and awaken nostalgic winter flavors.
This year, we are once again partnering with the Roundabout Foundation and affiliated charities to spread warmth and kindness. In addition to a variety of external vendors, there will be booths hosted by BCIS students and parents, as well as by affiliated institutions from YueCheng Education, including YueCheng Parkside Kindergarten, Learning Frontier, and Reading Frontier. Proceeds from the stalls will be donated to the Beijing Le Share Foundation’s Roundabout Special Fund, which supports children with hematological diseases. This winter, BCIS invites you to join us in spreading hope and lighting the way to a brighter, warmer future for these children.
