Recently, Grade 5 students were invited to the Secondary School building by their upper peers to experience the exciting world of science in the labs! According to Mr. Jeffrey Alvarez, MYP Science Teacher, the older students wanted to give their younger peers a glimpse of all the amazing experiments they will conduct once they enter middle school. After a warm welcome and a thorough explanation on the importance of safety while conducting science work (goggles, gloves, and lab coats check!), the students were split into groups and sent to different areas of the labs. The experiments of the day included Bunsen burners and flames; dissections to identity all major parts of a heart; and lasers and lights! However, don't take our word for it.
