As the students prepare to embark on new journeys, they have already received fantastic news. During the 2024 application season, our graduates have impressed universities worldwide with their individuality, talent, and hard work. They have received 198 offers from 9 countries and regions, earning approximately $1.3 million in scholarships from 17 institutions in the US, Canada, and beyond, which is a testament to their academic achievements!
Traditionally, the United States has been the top destination for BCIS graduates. However, reflecting post-pandemic shifts in study-abroad trends, this year’s graduates have made more diverse choices globally, with nearly 60% of students opting to apply to institutions outside the US. Impressively, 75% of graduates were admitted to universities ranked in the top 30 globally, and 85% received offers from universities ranked in the top 50.
BCIS students have been accepted into top universities around the world. In the US, colleges like the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Washington University in St. Louis, and the University of California-Davis continue to welcome BCIS students; In the UK, students were admitted to the London School of Economics, University College London, King’s College London, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Manchester, the University of Warwick, the University of Bristol, and the University of Southampton; Canada saw BCIS applicants to the University of Toronto, McGill University, and the University of British Columbia accepted; In the Asia Pacific region, the University of Melbourne and the University of Sydney, the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and City University of Hong Kong accepted BCIS graduates; and finally from Europe, students were accepted by the University of Amsterdam and Wageningen University in the Netherlands, Universidad Europea de Madrid in Spain, and Aristotle University, School of Medicine in Greece.
Moreover, students have demonstrated a wide variety of academic interests, choosing nearly 20 different fields such as economics, finance, biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, mathematics, medicine, food engineering, psychology, education, gender studies, design, fine arts, animation, and music production.
This year, many graduates have been accepted by top universities across multiple countries and regions. Given the varying admission standards of different nations, there is no absolute correlation between results across countries, so regardless of whether universities focus on assessing academic performance, background experience, critical thinking, or leadership skills in particular, the 2024 admission results clearly show our students earning global recognition for their wide range of talents and personalized experiences.
In the 2024 application season, graduates have primarily excelled in applying to top U.S. liberal arts colleges, receiving offers from 15 prestigious institutions. Notably, Williams College and Amherst College, the top two liberal arts colleges in the nation, which admit only a few Chinese students each year, accepted BCIS students. Graduates also gained admissions to other top 10 liberal arts colleges, including Wellesley College, Grinnell College, and Middlebury College. Among those applying to comprehensive universities, 80% received offers from the top 50 universities in the United States.
Graduates in the arts once again showcased their talents, with all of them being admitted to top schools in their respective fields. Music students received offers from the Berklee College of Music; film students were accepted by the School of Visual Arts in New York; and those interested in fine arts, animation, and design were admitted to top art schools such as Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, ArtCenter College of Design, Ringling College of Art and Design and Savannah College of Art and Design.
Notably, the 2024 IDEATE program graduates have proven themselves as exemplary ambassadors of the bespoke BCIS-signature program. Their outstanding achievements led to a clean sweep of top art school admissions, and their talents also earned them offers from universities and colleges worldwide, such as the University of Southern California, University of California-Irvine, University of Sydney, University of Melbourne, and Emerson College.
BCIS believes that the "best-fit" university holds different meanings for each student and their family. Some may prefer globally top-ranked universities for their widely recognized academic reputation, while others choose leading institutions in specific fields that offer the best environment for their professional development.
