Art Workshops:  

Workshop 1: Option A.) Magic in the Mundane: Finding Beauty in the Ordinary 

Uncover the magic hidden in everyday life. This workshop invites participants to explore familiar spaces—alleys, parking lots, or grocery stores—through a fresh perspective, seeking beauty in overlooked details. During the photowalk, participants will sharpen their observation skills, experiment with composition, and learn to transform mundane objects into captivating images. 

The challenge? Capture three unexpected scenes that reveal the extraordinary within the ordinary. This workshop is perfect for those looking to train their creative eye and discover that sometimes, the most compelling stories are right in front of us. 

Workshop 1: Option B.) Printmaking Workshop - Embracing a Growth Mindset  

Dive into our Printmaking Workshop themed around Reflection and Growth Mindset. This engaging session invites students to explore the art of printmaking while reflecting on their personal growth and creative journey. Reflecting on personal challenges and successes, students can create an amazing Gelli or foam print artwork. 

Workshop 2: Option A.) Quilling Paper Craft 

Discover the timeless art of quilling, also known as paper filigree. This captivating craft involves rolling, shaping, and gluing narrow strips of paper to create intricate and decorative designs 

Workshop 2: Option B.) Mixed Media Sculpture - Creative Reflection 

This workshop is designed to create engaging and meaningful artwork by reflecting on personal views, societal views, ideas, and emotions. Through creative art methods, students will discover ways to depict subjective emotions and responses that objects and events arouse within them. When creating 3-D works, students will embark on a personal journey of creative reflection.

Workshop 3: Option B.) 2-D Artworks Using the Wheel of Emotions. 

This workshop will be a journey of self-reflecting using the wheel of emotions. Students will be encouraged to explore and understand the emotions they feel in various stages of their lives. Using the list of emotions and representative colors, students will express them through mixed-media 2-D abstract artworks.  

Out of Beijing schools should arrive in Beijing on the evening of Friday, November 22. Activities will take place all day on Saturday, November 23, and during the morning of Sunday, November 24. The event will finish at 3:00pm on Sunday, November 24.
